Is it development...
I wonder what's the meaning in using your brains, young blood and innovation to stretch your hands outright up in the air for higher and higher technology, when the ground below your feet is crumbling.
I don't say technology is a bane.It's just that technology is not the lone thing that brings development.There are far many other things.
As far as I am concerned, I don't admire technological advancement. Rather, I am ashamed of the economy gap. The wide gap between the rich and the poor. I am ashamed of the declining morals and the increasing crime rate. I believe that true advancement, true innovation is possible only when awareness is brought in the people, when every person has their basic needs fulfilled. It's not when "nuclear weapons are made" or "wars are won".
If development is in such a way that, "the rich become richer and loose their morals and conscience, due to greed and selfishness" and "the poor become poorer,hence loose their morals for hunger, and go as far as theft, homicide and burglary"...

ReplyDeleteI do agree with you that true advancement is possible only when the basic needs of people are fulfilled.
But , technological advancement has got nothing to do with declining morals/increasing crime rate , and even it's not responsible for the economy gap as I feel.
I really admire the development in technology. On the other hand, it helps in implementing effective solutions to solve these problems.
It's not the advancement which is creating problems , it's just the misuse of it !
True.. technology has nothing to do with declining morals.. but still i wish the priorities in intellectual investment differ.. It's just that, if bridging the economy gap was made a higher priority .. results would differ. As i want to say.. for development.. providing basic necessities would be better than providing Akash.
