I'm nobody! Who are you? - Emily Dickinson

"I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us -don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.

How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

I wish I could say that it is indeed dreary
I wish I could say I have no intent to become a somebody
but how so very scared I am, of being a nobody!

If I were a nobody, no I wouldn't tell.
Not to the banishing crowd, not to the admiring bog.
Not to you. Not to me.
